Well, we're finally back in Potsdam! We arrived back on Monday and found what we had found driving across the country- little to no snow. It was very strange to find a brown Potsdam. Suddenly, true to form, Potsdam put its game face on and we are now in the middle of a winter advisory. We are staying with a counselor in the branch presidency and his family and, as you can imagine, his young son has been pretty cheerful about having no school for two days in a row. And it takes a lot of snow and ice to make Potsdam schools close down!
It's nice to be back and we're grateful to have a place to stay while we wait for permission to enter back into our dorm building. Yes, Abe and I live in your standard two beds, two desks, two dressers dorm room. We prefer to think of it as a studio apartment.
We're looking forward to the new year and all of its possibilities. Abe starts student teaching next week and we're both still working on grad school applications. It's strange not being able to make some of our plans because we're simply not sure where we'll end up. Just ask us about our goals in the beginning of April!
